This payments company has been voted the #1 app for financial mobile payments – estimated at 33.5 million downloads for the iPhone. For small retailers it is very cost effective. A great opportunity to buy.
COMMENT

Loves the disruptors. Great space.

WATCH

He likes the company and sees it as having great growth potential. The problem is the valuation is very rich and needs more time to grow into the multiples of today. Earnings will be released soon and that could provide some support.

DON'T BUY

Serious uptrend since 2017. It may be getting a little ahead of itself, way above all moving-day averages. This is way above 10% those moving averages, which means it will pull back--it is overbought now. 10% above MA is his benchmark.

BUY

Loves it. Surprised by its meteoric rise. Up so much today because of an analyst's praise. Would Visa buy it? Intriguing idea, but he doesn't know. This whole e-payments space is on fire.

BUY

Visa vs. Square He really likes the fintechs, including these. He owns both. They've had a wonderful run. Short-term,
we may see a brief rotation into the banks. But the fintechs are here to stay. They have years to rally.

DON'T BUY

He likes the cloud computing space. This is picking up widespread adoption. Not really looking at buying at these levels. Tough after these moves to see what they have going forward.

BUY

He likes it. He is inclined to keep it. It is still considered a small to mid-cap stock. They loan money to business. He thinks this is an amazing buy for Apple (AAPL-Q) and they have the capital. Actually, they have $244 billion of cash on hand which is more than the market cap of 97% of the companies in the S&P 500.

DON'T BUY

He follows this, but does not own it. In Fin-Tech he prefers PayPal and Visa where there is better Price Earnings to Growth value.

COMMENT

Knows little about this stock. It looks pricey on the surface with a high multiple, but has a lot of growth ahead. The market likes it. It's not a value stock, but rather a growth/momentum one. Revenues are growing at 45%. This may make money next year.

DON'T BUY

It is expensive. The digital payments world is very crowded; however it is more interesting than PayPal. It has had a phenomenal run. He is worried about very well capitalized competitors in the banks. Long term it will be overwhelmed.

BUY

For him, this was an indirect way to buy cryptocurrencies (Square accepts crypto payments). Square is heavily used in the States, more so than Canada. He continues to buy this.

COMMENT

These (Square, PayPal) are good, growing companies that attract a lot of initial company, going public with a splash. But make sure there's still a rising trajectory of sales before you buy their stock. He prefers the more concserative Visa which is established, yet still growing rapidly.

BUY

He invest in this space (digital payments), like Shopify and Visa. SQ fits here. Stock has been doing well, stronger than 98% of S&P 500 with a solid growth rate. Equity markets are getting better which is a tailwind. There's still room to run.

WATCH

He sees a nice up trend still in effect. He could see a potential pull-back towards $32, where trend line support is. With a general weakness in the tech sector overall it could see a pull-back.
