A “go to” name in copper in Canada. It is big enough and there is good liquidity in the story. Mexican operations are low cost in terms of copper production. In Canada they are higher but the blended costs are still fairly low on a relative basis. There are not too many mid-cap names in the copper sector. Good management.

BUY

Acquired the Pinto Valley mine in Arizona and the stock went all the way down below $2. Thinks copper should hold in at $3-$3.30. This is almost a pure North American copper play. Thinks this company goes higher.

BUY

Gold, silver, copper, zinc, iron, lead. His company has this as an outperform with a $3 target on it. This is diversified and he is concentrating on gold/silver producers.

BUY

Gold, copper, zinc, iron and lead. Doesn’t hold it but one that he follows. He has a $3 target and has it as an Outperform.

TOP PICK

Not worried about new supply coming on-stream from competitors. Every time you hear about supply issues, others don't bring them in when expected. China is a high cost producer. Thinks the market will stay tight. These guys went out and bought additional properties.

BUY

Likes it. Stock got down to $1. Got oversold.

BUY

Really likes this. Very cheap, trading at a ridiculous 3X 2014 cash flow. If the Pinto Valley acquisition does well, they will have 3 producing mines. Focuses on copper and gold.

TOP PICK

Likes management. They bought Pinto Valley mine in the US. A North American producer of copper, well positioned. Expects company will eventually be in play.

TOP PICK

Likes copper. Right now you are getting a big offtake in the Shanghai exchanges. Recently did an acquisition off of BHP Billiton, which is a great time to add production. Also, have some development projects.

COMMENT

Likes this. Growing copper producer, levered to both copper and gold. Have a couple of operating mines including one in the Yukon as well as one in Mexico. Recently purchased assets in the US from BHP Billiton (BHP-N). Stock could go higher once copper prices firm up.

PAST TOP PICK

(A Top Pick March 7/12. Down 22.33%.) Got stopped out of this quite early

HOLD

Very small diversified mining company with some very good mines in Canada, Mexico and Chile. High-quality. Very good people.

BUY
(Market Call Minute.) Probably not going to do anything in the short term but in the long term he loves the management, has great projects and it is cheap.
TOP PICK
Copper player. Doubling its production in 2015/16 and he feels they CAN build a mine on time and on budget. Copper is relatively tight on the global basis for the next 5-10 years. You have to have a long time horizon. Nothing sexy about it for a couple of years. Management has a good track record.
HOLD
Acquiring Far West Mining (FWM-T). Their problem is that they have great profitable operations but are relatively small and is hard to expand exponentially so are forced to go into partnerships. Hard to own because it’s hard to imagine what it is going to look like as they will keep acquiring. If you own, be patient.
