BUY

A past pick. See his Xebec comments. Two advantages over Xebec: Greenlane has more diverse technology, more applications; and even with the stock's huge run up in the past two months, the valuation is still lower than Xebec's and other peers. Will enjoy tailwinds for years.

COMMENT

A competitor to Xebec. They are expected to break even in 2021. He prefers Xebec. Both are bidding on books worth 1B.

BUY
A past pick that he still likes it. They're in the renewable/natural gas space, which has a huge tailwind in coming decades driven by governments. For example, California targets 20% of their nat gas will come from renewable sources by 2030 (now it's less than 0.5%). GRN will benefit from these big projects. The stock hasn't done much lately. Last earnings report showed a revenue increase, but that didn't trickle to the bottom line. This happens with a growth company which is spending to keep growing. This sector will have huge tailwinds. You want this company to grow as fast as it can to take advantage of that tailwind. He continues to like it and will hold. Excellent long-term potential.
BUY
They seem to be generating a lot of momentum. He thinks you will see a ramp up in this area. Renewable natural gas will really be at the forefront now. They continue to see great awards for their work. There are short term catalysts including a revaluation to their peers.
DON'T BUY

They compete with Xebec which he prefers. It's growing and has a backlog, but analysts still foresee negative earnings.

HOLD
They did a capital financing just prior to everything happening. They have a strong balance sheet to come through this. Once COVID-19 is over the will do well.
DON'T BUY

GRN-X vs. XBC-X. Analysts are forecasting a loss of 3 cents this year and 2 cents next year for GRN-X. XBC-X expects 10 cents earnings this year and 15 next year. Both companies are bidding on the same backlog. He is not keen on a company that is not making money this year or next year.

TOP PICK
Biogas is a hot topic. Jurisdictions around the world are moving towards a more carbon neutral footprint. They use three different technologies. 0.3% of gas is renewable and he thinks it will go to 5 or 10 over the next decade. These guys are right in the sweet spot. This is at a significantly less PE than peers. They should see some multiple expansion coming. (Analysts’ price target is $1.15)
BUY
They did a financing within the last 6 months. There's a warrant of 30 cents. Like Xebec, they can extract gas from garbage dumps (including methane), process it, then sell that methane. They have an C$8.3 million contract with a California dump. GRN pulls the most gas off any garbage dump in the world--great technology and track record. Cheap vs. Xebec, but Xebec has a higher profile and could win future projects from GRN.
WEAK BUY

He participated in their refinancing. They have a significant installed based. They extract gas from garbage dumps. The prospects are very good. He prefers XBC-X who are in the same business.
