India is one of those areas of the world where people talk of the long term story. They are relatively insulated from trade wars. He is caught on the long term India market. It is expensive. He owns SCIF-N.
Modi is now allowing Apple to do business there. India's had problems with bureaucracy, and if he makes it easier for foreign companies to come in and raise capital, it could be great. It depends on how the trade talks will go in terms of China. China has many geopolitical issues.
Likes emerging markets and this one covers India. Problem is there's social/political/economic upeaval in India as the country aspires to China's level. India is dominated by a few conglomerates, which also worries him. He'd rather buy an emerging markets ETF that will include India anyway, but without the risk.
(A Top Pick March 11/15. Down 9.36%.) This has been a little soft over the past month, but he has owned this along with an individual Indian stock for the past year. Generally speaking the government is pretty supportive of the economy and the stock market. He also likes the formation. This is in a long-term uptrend, and he views a recent pullback is a buying opportunity. The 200 day moving average has not been cracked.
