PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Aug 19/10. Down 1.78%.) Still likes the agriculture sector.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Aug 19/10. Up 5%.)
BUY
Agricultural ETF's, Moo (MOO-N), Cow (COW-T) or Soil (SOIL-N)? Soil is new and is a package of fertilizer stocks. Agriculture stocks tend to bottom around the beginning of August and tend to move higher until around the end of December. Fertilizer stocks tend to lead agriculture stocks and usually start the end of June. Anyone of them are good. (See Top Picks.).
BUY
Global Agriculture ETF. Gives exposure to agriculture stocks on a global basis.
BUY
Global Agriculture ETF. The two areas he likes the most are gold and agriculture. This one is terrific. It has all the really good companies that are in the agricultural space. It’s also a global theme. As standards of living rise, diets improve.
BUY
Global Agriculture ETF (COW) or Agribusinesses ETF (MOO) or is there something with better momentum? He could care less about momentum but does prefer the COW, simply because it is in Cdn $s..
STRONG BUY
Global agriculture ETF. Probably in perfect value right now. Sees tons of upside from here and not much downside.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Aug 19/10. Up 35.35%.) Fits in perfectly with the scenario of the global economy. Sold because he had somewhere else to go but nothing wrong with it.
TOP PICK
Agricultural commodities are a tangible asset. Food inflation around the world has been a reality because of climate change, natural disasters and an increasing population. A pretty simple supply and demand story.
BUY
Fertilizer, feed seed and farm equipment. A lot of global. No hedging. Don’t sell it. Over the longer term it will do very, very well. It will be a little rocky here.
DON'T BUY
Agriculture sector tends to do well seasonally from beginning of August to the end of the year. Technically the chart shows a strong up trend into the early part of 2011 but could be starting to break down.
TOP PICK
Global Agriculture ETF. Agricultural commodities continue to rise. A lot of the world’s land is being taken up as the emerging world urbanizes and population is getting close to 7 billion.
COMMENT
Has had a very good past 3-4 months but there is still room to go.
TOP PICK
Global Agriculture ETF. Thinks the agriculture theme has got legs. Global population is expected to grow by roughly 50% in the next 20-30 years. This is a long-term play.
BUY
You might see this run up to $24 really fast.
